Hi! My name is crystal fletcher & welcome to all about canadian books! My mission is to get to know the person behind the book. To accomplish this, I ask authors a series questions. So, let’s get to know…acclaimed journalist & bestselling author Mark Bulgutch.

​Mark Bulgutch worked for CBC News for over thirty-five years. He is the recipient of fourteen Gemini awards, four Radio Television News Directors Association awards, the Canadian Journalism Foundation Award of Excellence, and the Canadian Association of Broadcasters Gold Ribbon Awards. His previous books include That’s Why I’m a Journalist and That’s Why I’m a Doctor and the national bestseller, Extraordinary Canadians co-authored with Peter Mansbridge.

​I have SO many more questions for Mark. As the lineup editor for CBC's The National can you imagine deciding what story made the nightly news and what didn’t? And, over 35 years at CBC News, (that’s A LOT of news) I'd love to know the news stories that left the greatest impact on him.
