What inspires an author who was raised on a sheep farm in highlands, Newfoundland? Let's find out... On today's episode of all about books, I had the pleasure of speaking with award-winning author, screen writer and educator Bridget Canning about her latest novel Some People's Children. This coming-of-age novel spans nine years and tackles gossip, community and the complications of family. Bridget effortlessly captures those 'lovely' formative years. When I was reading, I often found myself saying to her protagonist, "No Imogene. Don't do it." I don't know about you, but I am SO glad adolescence is behind me! To learn more about Bridget Some People's Children was published by Breakwater Books.
